I started participating in readathons in 2015, mainly during the summer as that’s when I have time to do them. I’m challenging you all to do some of them as well!


2017

Booktubeathon (July 24-30)

  • Read books that correspond with the seven challenges during one week.
    • Read a book with a person on the cover

    • Finish a book in one day

2016

Summer Biannual Bibliothon (July 3-9)

  • Read books that correspond with the seven challenges during one week.
    • Read the challenge book The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
    • Read a book of your choice
    • Read a book recommended by one of the hosts
    • Read a book containing your favorite mythical creature
    • Read a book that you’ve kept from reading
    • Read a book by an author you’ve never read before
    • Read a book in a different format than you usually read

Make Me Read It Readathon (July 9-16)

  • Read books decided by someone else during one week.
  • Books read: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, Legend by Marie Lu, The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, Prince’s Gambit by CS Pacat

Booktubeathon (July 18-24)

  • Read books that correspond with the seven challenges during one week.
    • Read a book with yellow on the cover
    • Read a book at night/after sunset only
    • Read a book that you discovered through Booktube
    • Read a book by one of your favorite authors
    • Read a book that’s older than you
    • Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation
    • Read a total of 7 books

2015

National Readathon Day (January)

  • Read as much as you can in a novel of your choice during one day.
  • Books read: Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas

Booktubeathon (3-10 August)

  • Read books that correspond with the seven challenges during one week.
    • A book with blue on the cover
    • A book by an author who shares the same first letter of your last name
    • Someone else’s favorite book
    • The last book you acquired
    • Finish a book without letting it go
    • A book you really want to read
    • Bonus book (make it a total of 7 books)
