I need more books about geeky heroes!

This story centers around Isaac, a librarian who has the power to pull things out of books. Yes, it’s a bit like Inkheart but the rules of what can be pulled and the consequences are different in this story. Anyway; Isaac is a part of a magic organisation run by the real Johannes Gutenberg, though for the past two years Isaac has been suspended from duty. Now he is pulled back into the world of magic and heroics when vampires known as Sparklers (Twilight-vamps) show up and wreak havoc at his library – and it is soon revealed that Isaac’s library is not the only place that has been attacked recently.

Isaac is definitely a funny character to read about because he is a 21st century geek. He loves Doctor Who and uses a novel based on the TV-show to pull out the 10th Doctor’s coat and a psychic paper, he always carries a Narnia-book around in order to pull out Lucy’s healing vial and his main choice weapons are from various sci-fi books. Instant favorite character!

Other than that the story is quite entertaining. It might not be a full 5 star book, but it is a good book and a definite recommendation for everyone who likes to geek out a bit along with a geeky main character.
