Alright, so this was a pretty epic book! The setting was really cool, as were the cultures, the history, the people – lots of stuff that made it incredibly real to me. This audio book was also very good because – as the chapters alternate between Elias and Laia – there were two readers, one for each character’s POV. This made it even more realistic!
There were a few downsides to this as well; there were a few instances where there were far too long and intricate descriptions for an audio book to be interesting, but if you read these in a fictional book they would probably be very interesting to read as well.
I’m also very happy about the ending because it clearly states that a continuation was planned from the beginning and wasn’t added just because of that this book was successful. Thank you for that and I’m looking forward to the next book!
